The Missionaries of Charity hold a special place in our parish, because they were founded by our fellow citizen Saint Mother Teresa, on 7 October 1950. Their principal charism is service to the poorest of the poor. On 19 September 1986, on her fourth visit to her native Skopje, St Mother Teresa secured a house for her sisters, and since then the Missionaries of Charity have been at work in our city and in our parish. Today their work in the parish is the education of children and catechesis, and above all care for the poor, to whom they bring food.
